EF (Me): What is the coolest thing you’ve ever done?
AB (Ashley Burbul): A few months ago I met Zac and Isaac (from the band Hanson) and told them that I used to be obsessed with them. (I will defend the fact that this was cool if I have to.)
EF: What’s your favorite thing to cook?
AB: I go about as far as microwaving leftovers. All of a sudden cooking and baking has become really hipster but I still believe all that true city girls need to make for dinner is reservations.
EF: What’s your favorite activity?
AB: Laying in my bed, drinking a Diet Coke and watching reruns of Sex and the City. Isn’t it everybody’s?
EF: If you could be a super hero, what power would you have?
AB: To be two places at once. That way I could appear to be at work when in reality I’m out shopping.
EF: Where is the coolest place you’ve ever been?
AB: There are so many answers I can think of for this, but a dark corner booth at Nye’s Polonaise Room in the middle of the night with a super sexy date is the coolest experience you can have in Minneapolis for sure.
EF: If you won the lottery, what would you buy?
AB: A condo with a huge walk in closet. But first I would take a long nap.
EF: Where will you be in 10 years?
AB: Right where I am now, but with more experience and possibly some Botox.
EF: Why do you think Minneapolis is so awesome?
AB: Because it is. And anyone who lives anywhere else must be, in some small way, kidding themselves.
EF: If you could only listen to 5 songs for the rest of your life, what are they?
AB: “Rocket Man” – Elton John, “Little Red Corvette” – Prince, “Hot Child in the City”- Nick Gilder, “Comfortably Numb”- Pink Floyd, “Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy”- Big and Rich
EF: What was your last splurge on?
AB: A new apartment. I can’t afford it, but I ran out of room for all my clothes.
EF: What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?
AB: I loved school and want to go back for more. I’d be in school forever if I could…. It’s the only place I ever have all the answers.
EF: What are things we can do on a daily basis to live a good life?
AB: Laugh. Tell someone you love them. Sing out loud to any song, even if you don’t know the words. *Especially* if you don’t know the words.
EF: Do you have someone you look to for inspiration in your life?
AB: Carrie Bradshaw. Lottery winners.
EF: What activity makes you most happy?
AB: Doing something kind and generous for someone I love. And changing into my pajamas at the end of the night.
EF: Whose the funniest person in the world?
AB: My friend Cullen. He has perfect comedic timing and is funnier than most paid comedians. I rarely laugh at stuff that’s funny on purpose but he gets me every time.
EF: Who do you admire most in the area of music?
AB: Taylor Swift. I respect people who put it all out there. You hurt me and this is how it felt. Who hasn’t day dreamed about singing an “F you” song to someone who broke their heart?
EF: In the area of sports?
AB: I’m not really into sports but I am constantly admiring how good those big football players look in their uniforms.
EF: In the area of design?
AB: Louis Vuitton. Fashion trends come and go, but a set of classic Louis Vuitton luggage is forever.
EF: What would your last meal be?
AB: Spicy chicken Pad Thai reheated from the night before.
EF: Where do you want to be right now?
AB: Right where I am. If I wanted to be anywhere else I’d go there immediately.
EF: What would you tell the 18 year old you?
AB: Kelly Clarkson American Idol highlights will go out of style so enjoy that hair trend while it lasts.
EF: If you could give me advice, what would it be?
AB: Take lots of chances. If we’re going to be alive, we may as well be remarkable.
Will you have my baby?
